Natural Bodybuilder Goes Into Violent Rage After Being Accused of Using Anabolic Steroids

Scottish natural bodybuilder Eddie Kirk punched and kicked men who accused him of being a steroid user

Eddie Kirk, a 25-year old natural bodybuilder from Scotland, flew into a violent rage after believing two men had accused him of using anabolic steroids. Kirk claimed to be all-natural and steroid-free but the two strangers thought that his physique looked “fake”.

Robert Mullen and Ian Young learned a valuable lesson. Never piss off a natural bodybuilder. An apparently good way to piss of a natural bodybuilder, at least in the case of Kirk, is to suggest that they are on steroids.

Kirk viciously attacked Mullen and Young in response to their off-handed remarks about his body in July 2018. Kirk repeatedly punched and kicked the two men in Paisley town center.

When police intervened, Kirk took on and attacked the Paisley Police officers as well. Kirk first threatened the police officers before challenging them to a fist fight. He grabbed one of the officers in a headlock before eventually being subdued and arrested.

Natural bodybuilder pleaded guilty to two counts of assault

Kirk pleaded guilty to two counts of assault in the Paisley Sheriff Court. In exchange, prosecutors dropped the charges related to his abusive behavior towards the Paisley Police officers.

Kirk could have landed in jail after being convicted of assault. However, Kirk’s defense solicitor Amy Spencer argued that a Community Payback Order (CPO) was the most appropriate sentence.

Sheriff James Spy agreed. Spy sentenced Kirk to 200 hours of unpaid community service to be completed over the next 10 months.

The news media enjoys sensationalizing stories in which steroid-using bodybuilders are involved in acts of aggression and violence. The media inevitably blames the steroids for causing the “roid rage”.

Unfortunately, the news media often forgets that most cases of violence and aggression do not involve steroids at all. The “natural rage” is much more common.
