US Domestic Source Passed Out in Front of Post Office with Car Load of Customer Steroid Packages

Christopher Lane was discovered passed out in front of a Newark post office with a car full of packages containing anabolic steroids that were addressed to customers located throughout the United States. Lane was arrested and charged with multiple counts of steroid trafficking.

Lane was found slumped over in the driver’s seat of his automobile in the parking lot of the United States Post Office in Newark, Delaware on August 9, 2018. Several people became concerned about Lane’s condition with at least one passerby calling 911 to report the incident.

Newark Police Department (NPD) officers and paramedics were dispatched to investigate. When police arrived on the scene, Lane declined offers of medical treatment after he was awaken. Police were concerned about his strange behavior and decided to search his vehicle. Police quickly realized why Lane was at the post office.

NPD officers found several packages containing anabolic steroids in the car. Each package was addressed to a different customer. The packages contained a total of nine different anabolic steroids, some human growth hormone (hGH) and, needles and syringes.

Lane apparently had substantial quantities of steroids in the car. These included 9 grams of Deca Durbolin (nandrolone decanoate), 28.5 grams of Masteron (drostanolone propionate), 110 grams of testosterone, 24 grams of Equipoise (boldenone undecylenate), 4 grams of trenbolone acetate, 120 tablets of Anavar (oxandrolone), 60 tablets of Superdrol (methasterone), 300 tablets of Winstrol (stanozolol) and 25 tablets of Dianabol (methandienone). Ten vials of hGH were also seized.

Lane was charged with 20 counts related to steroid trafficking under Delaware state law. These included.:

  • 7 counts possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (Tier IV quantity);
  • 2 counts possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (Tier II quantity);
  • 7 counts possession of a controlled substance (Tier IV quantity);
  • 1 count possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance;
  • 1 count possession of a prescription drug without a prescription;
  • 1 count delivery of a prescription drug to another person for them to consume or possess without a prescription; and
  • 1 count drug paraphernalia

Lane was booked into the “West Wing” of the Gander Hill Prison, formally known as the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution, on August 9, 2018. Lane has apparently remained there since then after being unable to post an $80,000 secured bond.

Police have not released any additional information about the steroid operation in which Lane was involved. Lane obviously was working in some capacity for a U.S. domestic steroid source or underground laboratory (UGL). However, we do not know if he was the mastermind behind the operation or merely in charge of delivering customer packages to the post office.
