Cesar Sayoc was a virulent supporter of Donald Trump previously arrested for steroid possession
Cesar Alteri Sayoc Jr., a registered Republican and ardent supporter of President Donald Trump, mailed pipe bombs to at least twelve prominent Democrats across the country. He has also been described as a “big muscle head” and a “muscle-bound gym rat” who was convicted of anabolic steroid possession in 2004.
Sayoc was arrested after allegedly mailing bombs to former POTUS’s Barrack Obama and Bill Clinton, former Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, former Vice President Joseph Biden, mega-donor George Soros, U.S. representatives Maxine Waters and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Senators Kamala Harris and Corey Booker, former CIA director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and actor Robert DeNiro.
Sayoc was a former male stripper who used steroids to pursue his dream as a pro wrestler
Prior to his arrest, Sayoc reportedly spent most of his adult life pursuing a dream of becoming a professional wrestler. He was heavily involved in bodybuilding and used steroids to help build and maintain a physique that would make him more appealing and marketable as a pro wrestler. During his failed quest to become a pro wrestler, Sayoc apparently traveled all around the country working as a male stripper.
“He’s been in the strip clubs since he was 22, that was his life,” his cousin Lenny Altieri told NBC. “He was a male dancer and he wanted to be a wrestler. He was taking steroids. He was all buffed up. … He was built like a rock.”

Tony Johnson, the Ohio-based owner of an events promotion company called Valentine Promotions, told the Washington Examiner newspaper that he hired Sayoc as a stripper on for several gigs back in the 1990s. Johnson also noted that Sayoc also worked as a male stripper in several other States including Oklahoma, Minnesota, Florida, and North and South Carolina.
The 56-year old Sayoc eventually got too old to make an income using his physique. Thomas said he would never hire the “fuck-all stripper” Sayoc at his age.
“I would hire him to send him to do these shows,” Thomas said. “[Sayoc] would just go do a strip show and leave. He was a stripper,” Valentine said. “He was dancing for a guy out in Oklahoma too.
“He’s like 900 years old now. I wouldn’t hire a 50- or 60-year-old stripper.”
Sayoc’s age did not keep him away from the strip circuit. Sayoc recently worked as bouncer and DJ for the Ultra Gentlemen’s Club in Palm Beach, Florida. He also managed a Facebook page titled “Chippen Fella” which promoted an all-male revue. He did all of this while he was homeless and lived out of his van.
Ron Lowry, an attorney representing Sayoc’s family, suggested that Sayoc suffered from mental deficiencies and undiagnosed psychological disorders.
“He was lost. He was looking for anything. And he found a father in Trump,” Lowry told CNN. “He didn’t react like a normal individual. He was like a 14-year-old in an adult’s body… He wasn’t working on all cylinders.”
Sayoc was arrested and taken into custody near an AutoZone store in Plantation (Florida) on October 26, 2018. The FBI identified Sayoc based on fingerprints and DNA evidence collected from the bombs. He was charged with five federal crimes including the interstate transport of explosives, illegal mailing of explosives, and threats against former presidents and other persons.
